National Healthy Work Environments Survey Launches Oct. 13

AACN and Penn Nursing’s Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research (CHOPR) will launch the 2025 National Nurse Work Environments survey on Oct. 13. Please let your chapter members know in advance that the survey email will be coming from Penn Nursing and to check their spam folders if they don’t receive it. We will also have a public link to the survey on the AACN website and on our social media pages. We would greatly appreciate you sharing the public survey link with your chapter members and encouraging them to participate. The survey closes on Nov. 13.

Updated CCRN Exams Launch in November

On Nov. 12, AACN Certification Corporation will launch revised CCRN certification exams (direct care, knowledge professional and tele-critical care eligibility pathways). The revised exams align with updated test plans that reflect results from the 2024 national study of critical care nursing practice. Please remind chapter members pursuing CCRN certification to prepare using the appropriate test plan for their anticipated exam date:

Featured Journal Article: Nursing Insights on Neurodiverse ICU Care

Strengthen your nursing practice with timely, relevant research available in the American Journal of Critical Care (AJCC). A recent study explores nurses’ experiences caring for patients with intellectual developmental disabilities, a patient population that many clinicians encounter but few feel fully prepared to support. Please share this resource with your members, and encourage them to access the full digital issue anytime, anywhere through their AACN membership.
